Free Pattern :: Amigurumi Easter Bunny "Bunny Boo"

You still have time to make these little guys to throw into someone's Easter basket!

These guys shouldn't take much more than an hour to make and use a bulky weight yarn and a hook 2 sized smaller than what's recommended on the label to make a large stuffie that would make a great gift!

The pattern, as written will leave you with an adorable, teeny egg-shapped pal for anyone you want to make smile!

Fold tube flat
Pinch the open end together and stitch shut
Stitch to the sides of the head at round 6 or 7
To add color to the insides of the ears, put a small amount of blush on a cotton swab
and lightly brush into the crevasse of the ear.
Add color a little at a time working from the bottom up.
Tail:
R1-Ch2, 6sc in 1st chain, mm

R3 & 4-sc in each stitch around, mm

Stitch to the back of the head/body

Do not finish off, remove your hook and get your first circle
Put both circles together, wrong sides in, using the tail from circle #1, whip stitch the two circles together using your yarn needle through 4 stitches. Your working loop should be on the outside of the circle and not stitched through.
When you are done, you will have a figure �8� shape.
Put you hook back into your working loop and continue to�

With scrap black yarn, add a simple v-shaped smile!

Tutorial on Pimp Stitch

I did a tutorial on Pimp Stitch about how to Embroider on Hand-Knitted fabric. Check it out! Included in the tutorial is the pattern for this toddler sized hat!

Roxycraft Tutorial :: Knit a Wrist Pillow

Like I said earlier this week, I was in desperate need of a new wrist pillow (which in my case is actually more of an elbow pillow) to use while at my computer. I get the tendonitis, you know... So I knitted up a wrist pillow this week to help relieve my aches and pains.       

 Step One :: Knit it!
*Note-I realize my stripes are wonky...I had planed to make this a stuffie themed pillow but changed my mind. I'll give you the staight kntting pattern and leave out the stripes.

Materials:
Size 8 (5.0mm) 16" circular needle
1 Skein Vanna's Choice Yarn
yarn needled for closing and weaving in ends

Gauge:
6 rows x 4.5 stitches = 1"

CO 70 stitches
knit staright rows for 17" (add stripes if you'd like)
Bind off and close one seam

 

Step 2 :: Cut The Foam
I used "Airtex - Regular Density Foam" 1" thick.
Purchased at Joann's.

Lay your kntting on top of the foam and cut out the shape with scissors or a knife.

 

 

 

 

Step 3 :: Slip On

Scrunch up your knitting and slip the knitting over the foam like putting a sock on your foot.

 

 

 

 

 

Step 4 :: Close

I crocheted my seam shut, but you could easily shut it using a yarn needled and the whip stitch.

Don't forget to weave in all your ends!

 

 

 

Step 5 :: Give your wrists a rest!

Ahhhhhh! Soft and squishy.
