So, I have been pondering things to stick on my walls. Most of them are still pretty bare because I am super picky about what goes up. I'd rather have nothing than something I don't like.

I have been contemplating decals for a while. I have no headboard in my bedroom, good place for a decal, I have an almost empty hallways, good place for a decal.

Well, I decided to get my feet wet with one that I'll probably put up in my office or bathroom...maybe even the car.

So me, right? I typically end my emails with it, so yeah!

Something about it made me happy...I can't wait to get it and I scored it for $7! And even though I am super broke, I decided to secretly buy it. Shhhh...don't tell my hub!

 

I love the laziness of thrifting on Etsy...especially when it's swine flu season* and going out shopping is low on my list.

*please know I am not serious.

I am enjoying etsy so much more now that I'm not selling there....lol.

Another thing on my wishlist right now is soap dishes. I want one for my bathroom and one for my kitchen too. I just bought this one today on Etsy!

 

Purchased for $5 from etsy seller debz08. Looks like she has a bunch of other cute vintage stuff.

My new "hunt for" item is for my kitchen. I have a 50's house with an old school wall-mount for a phone. I have a crappy $5 phone there now and it haunts me with it ugliness and general lack of cuteness. Since we moved in, I have imagine a vintage wall-mount phone there.

On a recent trip to Universal Studios, I got to see the property room aka "The Prop Room"! I saw a shelf of every imaginable phone color. I always thought I wanted black, but now I want turquoise or yellow or ORANGE.

 

I am hunting on Etsy all the time to see if I can find one...I saw one today:

 

Don't you love it? It's yellow and adorable, but I don't know if it's a wall-mount or not. I contacted the seller to see.

Purchased from Etsy: Milk Glass Strawberry Dish

While looking through the shop local feature on Etsy, I found a seller: treasurehuntvintage from right here in Sacramento. Lots of interesting vintage stuff, which is good for me, because I do not have good luck finding this kind of stuff myself when I go out looking. Why didn't it ever dawn on me to go to Etsy for it? I just don't know.

So I bought this lovely vintage Milk Glass dish shaped like a strawberry! It's it adorable!
